Proposed timeline for implementation of change in
proof of citizenship requirements:

Requirements will be rolled out in phases, providing as much advance notice as possible to the affected public to enable them to meet the terms of the new guidelines.

• Dec. 31, 2005 – Passport required for all travel to or from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central and South America.
• Dec. 31, 2006 – Passport for all air and sea travel to or from Mexico and Canada.
• Dec. 31, 2007 – Passport required for all air, sea and land border crossings.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS: (good for 10 years) Proof of U.S. Citizenship Proof of identity Two recent, color photographs Fees: $97 16 years of age or older $82 15 years of age or younger

PASSPORT RENEWAL BY MAIL: Most recent passport Marriage certificate if your name has changed Two recent color photos Fee of $67
